What is monapay-mcp?

monapay-mcp lets Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client call MONA Pay while you code: create a VietQR for an order, watch the bank transfer arrive, wire up webhooks and verify their HMAC signature, and get a ready-made webhook handler in PHP, Node or Python. MONA Pay is the bank API and automatic payment-confirmation service of The MONA Group (Vietnam, 14,000+ projects since 2016). Product site: monapay.vn.

What it does

• VietQR checkout: monapay_create_qr, monapay_create_checkout, monapay_get_checkout, monapay_cancel_qr. Customers pay by bank transfer from any Vietnamese banking app; the transfer is matched to the order automatically.
• Transactions: monapay_list_transactions, monapay_get_transaction, monapay_get_transactions_summary, monapay_retry_transaction, monapay_sandbox_transaction (simulate a payment while developing).
• Webhooks: monapay_create_webhook, monapay_test_webhook, monapay_webhook_logs, monapay_webhook_stats, monapay_verify_signature (HMAC-SHA256 + timestamp), monapay_generate_webhook_snippet (PHP / Node / Python).
• Bank accounts: monapay_list_bank_accounts, monapay_link_bank_start, monapay_link_bank_verify_otp, monapay_list_virtual_accounts.
• Notify customers: transactional email (monapay_create_email_config, monapay_test_email, monapay_email_logs) and Zalo groups (monapay_create_zalo_group, monapay_test_zalo_group).
• Keys: monapay_generate_key, monapay_rotate_key, monapay_quickstart, monapay_me. 50 tools in total; the list above is taken from the server itself.
• Resources monapay://docs/llms and monapay://docs/{slug}, prompt integrate-monapay (6-step integration the agent runs on its own).

Create the API key once in the dashboard (my.monapay.vn); the agent does the rest.

Try it

Say to your agent: "Add MONA Pay to this checkout: create a VietQR for order #1024 of 250,000 VND and confirm the order when the transfer arrives."

The agent calls monapay_create_qr → shows the QR → registers a webhook with monapay_create_webhook → drops in the handler from monapay_generate_webhook_snippet → verifies with monapay_sandbox_transaction before going live.
