What is Beyond Payday?

Beyond Payday is a household finance planner. Its MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients work with the numbers you've entered in Beyond Payday: income, bills, assets, debts, savings goals, businesses and retirement projections.

Why not just paste my numbers into the chat?

Three reasons:

• It isn't guessing. Your assistant reads the numbers you actually saved, not what you remembered to paste in or what it half-recalls from earlier in the chat.
• It has real calculators, so the math is far more likely to be right. Take-home pay accounts for FICA, pre- and post-tax deductions and 1099 estimated tax. Retirement plans run thousands of Monte Carlo simulations covering Social Security (spousal and survivor), pensions and annuities, RMDs, taxes, inflation, withdrawal order and downsizing, with a success rate and a range of outcomes. Debt payoff, what-if scenarios and your emergency plan come out the same every time.
• Its memory outlasts any one assistant. Your data lives in Beyond Payday rather than in a chat thread. Switch assistants, connect the new one, and your numbers and net-worth history are all still there.

What else do I get that a chat on its own can't do?

• Your household shares one plan. A spouse can connect their own AI assistant to the same numbers; a child only sees the bills, income, assets and debts assigned to them.
• You can check any answer. Every figure your assistant quotes is also on your Beyond Payday dashboard and charts.
• It works when you aren't chatting. Bill-due, payday and estimated-tax reminders by email or push, plus net-worth snapshots over time.
• You stay in control. No bank or card connection, so no assistant can ever move money. Choose read-only, revoke any time from Settings → AI Connections, and we log that a tool ran, never what you asked or what it answered.

Security

• OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration; revoke any connection from Settings → AI Connections.
• Beyond Payday has no link to any bank or card, so a connector can never move money.
• Figures are estimates from your own data and are informational only, not financial advice.
