概要

What is BackPow PoW Oracle?

The official MCP server for BackPow, the Proof of Work Oracle. It gives AI agents live mining data for 126+ Proof-of-Work networks and 770+ ASIC, GPU and CPU models.

No API key and no account are needed.

How to connect

Remote (recommended): https://mcp.backpow.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP)

Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http backpow https://mcp.backpow.com/mcp
Claude Desktop / claude.ai: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → https://mcp.backpow.com/mcp
Cursor / VS Code: add the URL as an HTTP MCP server

All tools are read-only.

Why agents can trust the numbers

Every result is sourced: UTC timestamp, canonical backpow.com page and a ready-made citation.
Ambiguity is refused, not guessed: shared tickers (e.g. DGB, XVG) return the candidate list instead of picking one.
Missing data is refused, not substituted: an unmeasurable network returns an error, never a fake 0 H/s.

FAQ

Is it free? Yes. There is no key, no account and no rate-limited trial.

Where does the data come from? From BackPow's stratum collector nodes and market data. It is published under CC BY 4.0 (llms.txt).

Is it financial advice? No. It is a calculator and data source, and no tool executes a transaction.
