Overview

What is MyBestSim?

MyBestSim is a hosted, read-only MCP server that compares prepaid travel eSIM plans from more than 30 providers. Ask in plain language and get the plans shown on the MyBestSim comparator for your destination, in a neutral price order, with a link to compare them on mybestsim.com.

How to use it

No install, no API key, no sign-up. Add the remote endpoint to any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP:

It also works as an app in ChatGPT and as a connector in Claude.

Tools

  • search_esim_plans: plans for a destination, filtered by data and trip length
  • get_destination_overview: typical prices and coverage for a country or region
  • get_esim_plan: details of one plan
  • plan_trip_esim: multi-country trips, one eSIM for the whole trip versus one per country

Example prompts

Good to know

  • Read-only: the server never buys anything; purchases happen on the provider's site.
