It is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that wraps the Lisbon Metro API to provide metro route information through Claude Desktop. It is intended for users who want to ask Claude about metro trips in Lisbon.
Clone the repository, activate the virtual environment, install the requirements with pip install requirements.txt, then configure Claude Desktop by editing its claude_desktop_config.json file to point to the server script. Run python metro-lisboa.py to start the server. Once running, you can ask queries in Claude Desktop such as “Quero ir de metro do estádio da luz até à altice arena, qual a melhor rota?”
Clone the repository, activate the provided virtual environment, and run `pip install requirements.txt`.
Edit `claude_desktop_config.json` (located in `$env:AppData\Claude\`) to add a new entry under `mcpServers` with the command pointing to `.venv/Scripts/python.exe` and the script `metro-lisboa.py` as arguments.
You can ask questions about metro routes in natural language, for example: “Quero ir de metro do estádio da luz até à altice arena, qual a melhor rota?”
The exact dependencies are listed in `requirements.txt` and are installed via pip.
Run `python metro-lisboa.py` from the project directory.
