AI Sticky Notes is a lightweight, AI-powered note-taking application built using the MCP framework. It allows you to add, read, and summarize notes through a simple interface, making it ideal for quick thoughts, to-do lists, or daily journaling.
Install dependencies with pip install -r requirements.txt (or uv) and run python main.py. Use the MCP tool add_note to append a note, read_notes to retrieve all notes, the resource notes://latest for the most recent note, and the prompt note_summary_prompt to generate an AI summary via Claude.
Python 3.8 or higher, the MCP framework, and Claude AI model integration are required. The uv package manager is optional but recommended.
Clone the repository, then run `pip install -r requirements.txt` or `uv pip install -r requirements.txt`. Start the application with `python main.py`.
Use the MCP tool `add_note(message)` to add a note, and `read_notes()` to retrieve all saved notes. The resource `notes://latest` returns the most recent note.
The application integrates with Claude AI. Use the MCP prompt `note_summary_prompt()` to generate a summary of all current notes.
Notes are saved to a persistent file named `notes.txt` in the project directory.
