概要

What is ZapToMCP?

ZapToMCP is a monorepo containing TypeScript tools and libraries for building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients. It streamlines the creation and deployment of MCP-compatible services, providing transport implementations (in-memory, SSE, Stdio, Streamable HTTP) and a type-safe API built with Fastify.

How to use ZapToMCP?

Install the SDK via pnpm add @zaptomcp/sdk (requires Node.js 20+ and pnpm 10.8.1+). Use the exported McpServer and Client classes to create servers/clients, then connect them to a transport (e.g., FastifyTransport or HTTPClientTransport). For the monorepo, clone the repository and run pnpm install && pnpm bootstrap.

Key features of ZapToMCP

  • Multiple transport implementations (in-memory, SSE, Stdio, Streamable HTTP)
  • Type-safe API with TypeScript
  • Built with Fastify for high performance
  • Supports both ESM and CommonJS
  • Higher-level server abstraction in dedicated package
  • Monorepo structure for modular development

Use cases of ZapToMCP

  • Build a custom MCP server with tools, resources, and prompts
  • Create an MCP client to interact with AI assistants
  • Develop streaming or HTTP-based MCP integrations
  • Prototype new MCP features using the in‑memory transport

よくある質問

What are the runtime requirements?

Node.js 20 or higher and pnpm 10.8.1 or higher are required.

3

Is ZapToMCP production‑ready?

No – the repository is under active development and labeled “Work in Progress.” The API and implementation details are subject to change.

4

What transports does the SDK support?

The SDK provides in‑memory, SSE (Server‑Sent Events), Stdio, and Streamable HTTP transports.

5

How is ZapToMCP licensed?
