What is the Webshare MCP server?

The official Model Context Protocol server for Webshare. Connect Claude, Cursor or any MCP client to your Webshare account and ask about it in plain language: your proxies and their configuration, bandwidth and error statistics, plans, billing and the proxy catalogue with live pricing.

It is a hosted server. There is nothing to install and no API key to copy:

You sign in with your Webshare account through OAuth. The consent screen asks for read access by default. Actions that change something (refreshing your proxy list, replacing proxies, managing IP authorizations, cancelling auto-renewal) only work if you tick write access on that screen. Every connected app is listed, and can be revoked, under Integrations → Connected Apps in the dashboard.

Connect

Claude Code

Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, select webshare and choose Authenticate.

Claude Desktop and claude.ai

Open Customize → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it Webshare and paste https://mcp.webshare.io/. Click Add and connect Webshare when Claude asks. On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner adds it first.

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all projects, or to .cursor/mcp.json for one, then restart Cursor and sign in to webshare from Customize → MCPs:

Any other client

Point it at https://mcp.webshare.io/ over Streamable HTTP. It discovers the Webshare sign-in on its own, registers itself and opens your browser. No headers needed.

Try asking

Disconnect

Remove the server from your client (for Claude Code, claude mcp remove webshare), then revoke its access under Connected Apps.
