What is Twistly?

Twistly turns a topic, your notes, or a document into a native, fully editable PowerPoint (.pptx) deck — right inside your AI assistant. One server works with both Claude (Connectors) and ChatGPT (Apps).

Connect

• Server URL: https://mcp.twistly.ai/mcp
• In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL → Connect.
• Sign in with Google, Microsoft or your email address. There is no API key to copy, and your Twistly account is created from the email you sign in with.

Tool	What it does
create_from_topic	Generate a presentation from a short topic prompt.
create_from_text	Turn text you provide into a presentation.
create_from_file	Generate a presentation from a PDF, PPTX, DOCX or TXT document.
get_job_status	Read a generation job's status and, once finished, its download link.

Generation runs in the background: every request returns a job id, and the assistant follows it until the deck is ready — usually one to three minutes. You get a direct download link to the file.

Options

Ask for a slide count (up to 50), a language, one of 50+ templates, a PDF instead of a .pptx, shorter or fuller text on the slides, and an image style. Slide images are AI-generated by default; you can ask for stock photography from Unsplash or Pexels instead.

Credits and limits

• A new account starts on the free plan with 60 AI credits; each generated deck costs 20 credits. Failed generations are refunded automatically.
• On the free plan, a deck built from a topic is capped at 10 slides.
• Paid plans raise the slide limit and replace the credit balance with a daily generation quota. See plans and pricing.
