What is Testiny MCP Server?

Testiny is a test case management platform. The Testiny MCP server connects AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor and other MCP-compatible clients to your Testiny projects. Describe what you need in natural language, and your assistant can find, create and update test cases and test runs for you.

• Generate test cases from requirements or user stories and create them directly in Testiny
• Create and organize test case folders
• Create test runs and record results (passed, failed, blocked, skipped)
• Add comments to test results
• Check test run status and summarize failed tests

Setup

Endpoint: https://app.testiny.io/api/v1/mcp-server (HTTP)

Authentication: OAuth, or an API key via Authorization: Bearer <api-key>

Claude (Desktop): add a custom connector with the endpoint URL and sign in via OAuth.

Claude (Code): run /mcp, select testiny and complete the OAuth login in your browser. Or use an API key:

Consider creating a dedicated API key with limited project access for MCP usage. An API key has the same permissions as the user who created it.

Requirements

• A Testiny account on a paid or trial plan
• OAuth enabled in your Testiny organization settings (when not using an API key)
• An MCP-compatible client (protocol 2025-06-18)

Notes

BDD (Gherkin) test cases are read-only through the MCP server. Edit their scenarios in the Testiny app.
