Create one Snipzr short link. Use this when the user wants a URL shortened or a branded link made. Do not use for more than a few links at once; use snipzr_create_links_batch instead.

Create up to 100 short links in one call. Use this for bulk work such as a campaign set or a migration. Do not use for a single link.

List the links in this space, newest first, with optional text, domain and campaign filters. Use this to find a link before updating or deleting it.

Fetch one link by its back-half. Use this to confirm a link exists or read its destination and title.

Change a link's destination or title; the short address itself never changes. Use this to repoint a link. Do not use to rename a back-half: back-halves are permanent.

Permanently delete a link. Every printed or shared copy of it stops working. Requires confirm=true; ask the user before setting it.

Per-day clicks and scans for one link, bots counted separately. Use this for questions about a link's performance.

Clicks rolled up by utm_campaign across every link. Use this for questions about campaign performance.

The workspaces this connection can act in, with the workspaceId to pass to other tools and the permissions live there. Call this first when the user has more than one workspace.

The plan, how many new links remain this period and when it resets. Call this before bulk work.

The short domains this space can create links on. Use this before creating links on a branded domain.

A scannable QR code for one existing link, as PNG, JPEG or SVG, with optional colors, a caption and a center logo. Scans through it are counted separately from clicks. The link must exist first; create it, then ask for its code. To save the image to a file, download the signed URL from the response text (for example with curl -o); never regenerate the code with another tool, because only this one carries the scan-counting address.

Compose a destination URL with UTM parameters, validated against the workspace's UTM conventions when it has any. Use this before snipzr_create_link for campaign links. It does not create the short link itself.

What is Snipzr?

Snipzr (snipzr.com) is a URL shortener. Short links live on your own domain or on snipzr.com, never expire, and come with cookie-less analytics that show bots and link previews separately from real clicks.

What the MCP server does

The remote MCP server at https://mcp.snipzr.com/mcp lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client work with your links. It has 13 tools:

  • Create a short link, or many at once
  • List links, get one link, update or delete a link
  • Get link statistics, per day, with bots counted separately
  • Get a campaign report
  • Build a UTM campaign link
  • Get a QR code
  • List short domains and workspaces
  • Get plan usage

Sign-in

  • OAuth: clients with MCP sign-in support open a Snipzr sign-in and ask you to approve access for a workspace.
  • API token: for other clients, create a token in Snipzr settings and send it as Authorization: Bearer <token>.
