What is SimpleBackups MCP?

SimpleBackups MCP is the official remote MCP server for SimpleBackups, the backup automation platform for servers, databases and cloud storage. It lets your AI assistant check, investigate and manage your backups in plain language.

What you can do

• See what's failing: "Which backups failed this week, and why?"
• Investigate: read backup logs, run history and run output to find the root cause
• Take action: run, pause or resume backups (write actions always ask you to confirm first)
• Prepare restores: get everything you need to restore a backup
• Get an overview: list your backups, servers and storages at a glance

How to connect

Add the remote server to any MCP client that supports streamable HTTP:
