It reads project context, uses App Store research, and produces ready-to-ship assets.

What do I need to use this server?

You need a Shots account and an active plan or enough free trial generation credits for the tools you intend to use.

How does authentication work?

The server uses MCP OAuth. On first use, your editor opens a browser window to sign in and authorize the connection. The token is long-lived; you can revoke connected clients from Shots Studio.

Where does screenshot generation happen?

All generation happens on the Shots server. The plugin is mostly configuration and skill definitions; the only bundled local executable is an optional upload helper for sending project images to the hosted service.

What are the generation credit costs?

Each new screenshot uses 3 credits, revisions use 2 credits, translations use 1 credit per locale, app icons use 3 credits, and icon moodboards use 5 credits. One-time credit top-ups are available.

Supported agents include Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, VS Code, Windsurf, Devin, Zed, Gemini CLI, Amp, and generic MCP clients.
