Sequentum MCP Server

The Sequentum MCP Server connects your AI assistant to Sequentum using the Model Context Protocol. Your AI tools can build web scraping agents, run and monitor them, manage schedules, download extracted data, diagnose failures, and track spending.

Sequentum hosts the server, so there's nothing to install. Connect to https://mcp.sequentum.com/mcp over Streamable HTTP and sign in with your Sequentum account through OAuth 2.1.

Getting Started

Add the server to any MCP client that supports remote servers:

The first time you connect, you'll be asked to:

1. Log in with your Sequentum account
2. Accept the OAuth authorization
3. Grant the requested permissions

Once you're signed in, all tools are available in your client.

Client Setup

Claude.ai and Claude Desktop. Sequentum MCP is listed in Claude's connector directory, so there's no URL to enter. Open Settings → Connectors, browse the Directory, find Sequentum MCP, and click Connect. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, an admin may need to enable it first.

Claude Code. Once you've connected it in Claude.ai, it's available in Claude Code on the same account. To add it directly:

Then run claude and type /mcp to sign in.

Cursor. Go to Settings → Cursor Settings → MCP and add the server URL, or add the JSON config above to mcp.json. Cursor 1.0+ supports OAuth and Streamable HTTP natively.

VS Code / GitHub Copilot. Open the Command Palette, run MCP: Add Server, and enter https://mcp.sequentum.com/mcp.

Windsurf. Open Configure MCP in Cascade and add https://mcp.sequentum.com/mcp.

ChatGPT. While the Sequentum app is pending directory approval, connect through Developer Mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans). Enable Developer mode under Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings, click Create app, name it Sequentum, and enter https://mcp.sequentum.com/mcp.

Other clients. Any client that supports OAuth and Streamable HTTP works. The server supports Client ID Metadata Documents, so clients that support them can connect without registering first, and it falls back to Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591) for the rest.

Troubleshooting

Error	Solution
OAuth login not opening	Make sure your client supports OAuth and Streamable HTTP, then restart it. In Claude.ai and Claude Desktop, connect from the connector directory instead of a config file.
Connection refused	Check that the URL is https://mcp.sequentum.com/mcp and that your network can reach it.
API Error 401: Unauthorized	Your sign-in has expired. Disconnect and reconnect to sign in again.
Insufficient Scope	Disconnect and reconnect, then approve the requested permissions.
API Error 404: Not Found	The agent, run, or file doesn't exist, or you don't have access to it.
API Error 429: Too Many Requests	Rate limit exceeded. Wait a moment and try again.

Local / npm package

The sequentum-mcp npm package and local (stdio) mode are deprecated. Use the hosted server at https://mcp.sequentum.com/mcp. There is no supported self-hosted or offline option.

Privacy

The server acts as an authenticated proxy between your MCP client and the Sequentum API. It uses your account data only to fulfil your requests, and it doesn't store request data or share it with third parties. See the Sequentum privacy policy.
