You MUST batch all IP addresses together into a single comma-separated string and make exactly ONE tool call. It helps users to retrieve detailed information such as country, region, city, latitude, longitude, ZIP code, time zone, ASN, and proxy information for any IPv4 or IPv6 address. Args: ip: The IP address to analyze (IPv4 or IPv6). For multiple IPs, you MUST combine them into a single string separated by commas (e.g., "1.1.1.1, 2.2.2.2"). Returns: A JSON string result includes: Location & Geography: Country, region, district, city, ZIP code, latitude & longitude, time zone. Network & Connectivity ASN (Autonomous System Number), ISP (Internet Service Provider), domain, net speed, IDD code, area code, address type, usage type. Mobile Information MNC (Mobile Network Code), MCC (Mobile Country Code), Mobile Brand. Currency & Language currency code, currency name, currency symbol, language code, language name. Proxy & Security proxy type, last seen, threat level/type, proxy provider, fraud score. Others IAB category, weather, elevation, population and more. IP2location.io is an MCP server that brings high-performance IP intelligence directly into LLM-driven workflows. It allows AI agents to retrieve comprehensive geolocation and network information about any IP address using a single natural language prompt, designed for developers building context-aware AI applications.
Add the server configuration to your claude_desktop_config.json using the uv command and the optional IP2LOCATION_API_KEY environment variable. After restarting Claude Desktop, the server appears in the Search and tools menu. You can start querying without an API key (1,000 queries per day) or sign up for a free key (50,000 queries per month).
You can retrieve country, region, district, city, latitude/longitude, ZIP code, time zone, ISP, domain, net speed, area code, weather station, MCC, MNC, carrier brand, elevation, usage type, proxy information, address type, IAB category, and ASN.

Just copy the content of the server configuration section to your `claude_desktop_config.json` file and replace the `YOUR_API_KEY` to your actual IP2Location.io API Key.
If you are using our cloud-hosted server, you only need to install the `npx`, which is auto included when installing Node.js. You can follow [this guide](https://docs.npmjs.com/downloading-and-installing-node-js-and-npm) to get started. For local MCP server, the server requires `uv`, which can be installed following the official MCP server environment setup guide.
