No. By default all checks are performed locally against public website data. No MaxAEO cloud storage, LLM APIs, or hidden telemetry are used.

Why is the visibility score capped at 85?

The free local audit cannot measure live AI engine recommendations, brand mentions, citation quality, sentiment, competitor share of voice, or historical trends. The `technicalScore` can still reach 100 when all local signals pass.

Three tools: `check_llms_txt` (validates `/llms.txt` and linked URLs), `audit_ai_crawler_readiness` (checks robots, sitemap, homepage metadata, and AI crawler basics), and `build_ai_visibility_report` (runs all local checks and returns a concise action plan).
