Remote MCP server that turns any public web page into an image. Nothing to install: the endpoint is hosted, and it answers without a key so a directory or an agent can look at a real result before signing up.
What it does
One tool call returns the screenshot of a page. Cookie banners, ads, chat widgets, sticky headers and newsletter pop-ups can be removed on the way, so what comes back is the page as a visitor would read it. Captures can be taken from 227 countries, which is what you want when a site serves different prices, languages or content depending on where the visitor is. The response reports the country actually observed, and a capture that could not be obtained is not charged.
Tools
Free endpoint, no key:
take_demo_screenshot - a real screenshot of one of three example pages: guardian, wikipedia or hackernews, on desktop or phone. It does not capture a page of your choice.
list_countries - the 227 countries, with their two-letter codes. Choosing one needs an account.
get_pricing - the free credits, the limits of a free account, and what a screenshot costs.
With an API key on https://api.localscreenshot.com/mcp:
take_screenshot - one capture per call: the image, the page title, the final URL, the HTTP status and the credits left.
list_countries - use the two-letter code as the country option.
get_credits - what is left, including the free credits the account gets each month.
Options
Around thirty options. The ones that change a capture most often: country, device (desktop, laptop, iPad, iPhone, Pixel, Galaxy, or your own viewport), full_page, selector for one element only, format (png, jpeg, webp, pdf), color_scheme for the light or dark theme, language and timezone, wait_for an element, click_selector or click_text for one click before the shot, hide_selectors, hide_sticky_elements, block_cookie_banners, block_ads, block_chat_widgets, close_popups, max_width to keep the image small for a vision model, and async to get an id instead of waiting.

Free tier
50 credits every month, no card, for any account without a paid plan. Given the first time the account is used that month, and they do not carry over. A free account can send 10 requests a minute and run 2 screenshots at a time. A screenshot costs 1 credit, or 2 when taken from a chosen country; a failed capture is not charged. get_credits and GET /v1/credits show the monthly allowance under free_monthly.
Limits
Public http and https pages only. The service does not sign in to websites, does not solve bot checks and does not get past paywalls. The country reported is the one observed when the page was loaded, never the one requested.
