概要

What is LMCP?

LMCP connects your AI assistant to the apps you already use — Mail, iMessage, Microsoft Teams, Slack, WhatsApp, Calendar, Contacts, Outlook, OneDrive, Google Drive, Zoom and Office documents. It runs on macOS 13+ and Windows 10+; Windows has its own catalog and Apple-native tools are macOS only.

Tools execute on your computer, with no API keys to manage. LMCP does not make your AI provider local: the assistant you choose (and any service you connect) receives the content you ask for, under its own terms.

Install

  1. Download LMCP for macOS or Windows and run the signed installer. It configures the supported AI clients it finds.
  2. Or add the local server to any MCP client:

Claude Desktop also has a one-click .mcpb extension.

Web assistants

ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Grok and Perplexity connect to https://www.local-mcp.com/mcp as a custom connector (OAuth), with the LMCP app installed on your computer. Setup guide.

What it can do

  • Read, search and reply to email in Apple Mail and Outlook, with attachments.
  • Search and send messages in iMessage, WhatsApp, Teams and Slack.
  • Create, move and query calendar events and contacts.
  • Work with local files and Office documents, including OneDrive and Google Drive.
  • Run recipes that chain several tools, with preview or confirmation where the tool requires it.
