Give an AI assistant a direct line to fund-performance data — compare, screen, and explain how funds have done, by ticker, without a Morningstar or Bloomberg contract.

What it does

Six tools covering trailing total returns (1-day through 20-year and since-inception) and full calendar-year returns for ~32,000 US mutual funds and ETFs, refreshed daily. An agent can resolve a ticker, pull returns for one fund or batch up to 100 in a single call, and answer questions like:

• "How did SPY, QQQ, and VTI compare over 1, 5, and 10 years?"
• "Which of these funds had the best 2022 calendar year?"
• "Show me a few large-cap ETFs and their YTD returns."

Every figure is a total return with distributions reinvested, returned as a plain decimal (0.1234 = +12.34%) alongside the date it reflects.

searchFunds	Search or list the ~32,000 US mutual funds and ETFs by name or ticker to get the code the other tools need. Metadata only.
getFund	One fund's metadata by ticker — name, type, exchange, currency, ISIN, data-coverage dates.
getTrailingReturns	Trailing returns for one fund: 1d, 1w, 1m, 3m, 6m, YTD, 1y–20y, since inception. Latest or as-of a date.
batchTrailingReturns	Trailing returns for up to 100 funds in one call.
getCalendarReturns	Full calendar-year total return for one fund — a specific year or the latest completed one.
batchCalendarReturns	Calendar-year returns for up to 100 funds in one call.
