How to use Flstudio Mcp?

Install by running scripts\install_windows.bat, then create two loopMIDI ports named FLStudioMCP RX and FLStudioMCP TX, configure FL Studio's MIDI Settings to use them, start the fl-studio-mcp-daemon, and register the server in Claude Desktop's config file. Optionally run MCP_Apply from the piano roll scripting menu once per session to enable note writing. After setup, ask Claude in plain language—for example, "Scan my mix and tell me what's wrong."

Can Flstudio Mcp load plugins or render audio automatically?

No. FL Studio's API cannot load plugins, load audio files, or render audio. The server suggests plugins and presets from your library; you load them manually, then Claude configures them. Audio export is also manual.

What are the known limitations of note writing?

Note writing must be armed once per session by running MCP_Apply from the piano roll's scripting menu. FL Studio provides no API to run a pyscript, so this manual step is required for note and chord writing.
