概要

What is EVM MCP Server?

EVM MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server that provides blockchain services across 30+ EVM-compatible networks. It enables AI agents to interact with Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, and other EVM chains through a unified interface.

How to use EVM MCP Server?

Run via npx @Danielmark001/evm_mcp_server (stdio mode) or npx @Danielmark001/evm_mcp_server --http (HTTP mode). Alternatively, clone the repo and use bun start or bun start:http. Connect from MCP-compatible clients like Cursor (via command or mcp.json) or Claude CLI (claude mcp add evm_mcp_server npx @Danielmark001/evm_mcp_server).

Key features of EVM MCP Server

  • Multi-chain support for 30+ EVM-compatible networks
  • ENS name resolution for all address parameters
  • Read blockchain state (balances, transactions, blocks)
  • Token services for ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1155
  • Smart contract read/write with private key signing
  • Gas estimation, transaction status, and receipt info

Use cases of EVM MCP Server

  • AI agents querying wallet balances or transaction history across chains
  • Automated token transfers and approvals via natural language
  • Smart contract interaction (reading state, writing with private key)
  • NFT metadata retrieval and ownership verification
  • ENS name resolution for human-readable address usage

よくある質問

1

What prerequisites are needed?

Bun 1.0.0+ or Node.js 18.0.0+ are required.

2

What is the default chain and server port?

The default chain ID is 1 (Ethereum Mainnet), and the server runs on port 3001 bound to 0.0.0.0.

3

Does the server support ENS names?

Yes, every tool that accepts Ethereum addresses also supports ENS names like 'vitalik.eth', resolving them automatically.

4

How many networks are supported?

30+ mainnets (Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, etc.) and 20+ testnets (Sepolia, Goerli, etc.) are supported.

5

Can the server write transactions?

Yes, tools for transferring native tokens, ERC20/ERC721/ERC1155 tokens, and approving spending require a private key parameter and sign transactions on-chain.
