概要

What is Equibles?

Equibles (https://equibles.com) is a hosted MCP server, REST API and research portal for US and European stock data: SEC filings with full-text search, earnings call transcripts, financial statements, 13F institutional holdings, insider and congressional trades, short interest, fund holdings, economic indicators and daily prices. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients can query it directly. The core is also open source and can be self-hosted.

How to use Equibles?

Connect your MCP client to the hosted server at https://mcp.equibles.com/mcp over streamable HTTP. Clients like Claude and ChatGPT can sign in over OAuth; other clients send an API key as an Authorization: Bearer <key> header. Create a free account and key at https://equibles.com (the free plan includes 100 requests a day across MCP and REST). Setup guides for each client: https://equibles.com/docs/mcp

To self-host the open-source core instead, clone https://github.com/daniel3303/Equibles, copy .env.example to .env, set SEC_CONTACT_EMAIL, then run docker compose up (the MCP server starts on http://localhost:8081/mcp).

Yes, for the hosted server: sign in over OAuth from clients like Claude and ChatGPT, or send a Bearer API key. The free plan includes 100 requests a day across MCP and REST; paid plans raise the limits. See https://equibles.com/pricing

What transport does the MCP server use?

Is it read-only?

No. The market-data tools are read-only, but the portfolio, watchlist and feedback tools write data to your own account.

Where does the data come from?

Mostly public regulatory sources such as SEC EDGAR, FINRA, FRED, CFTC and CBOE, refreshed continuously on the hosted server.

Can I use the data outside an AI assistant?

Yes. The same data is available through the REST API at https://api.equibles.com/v1 and on the research portal at https://equibles.com
