5Web search finds articles about products; this returns real, buyable offers the user can act on — pricing plus a trackable checkout link for each one. Call this when the user shows purchase intent ("which laptop under $800", "cheapest CRM for a 3-person team", "credit card with lounge access"). The arguments use the AgentOffer Query v1.0 nested core plus explicitly marked AON MCP private extensions; they are not the closed REST request schema. Minimum: intent.content[0] = {"type":"input_text","text":"<one natural sentence>"}. Narrow by category with AON Taxonomy v1 ids in `constraints.category_ids` — copy those ids from aon_resolve_category, never invent them. The response is the full query result as JSON text: `data.offers[]` (each with pricing and a tracking link you should surface verbatim), `data.request_id`, `data.protocol_version`, `data.language`, an optional `data.engagement` block of follow-up suggestions, and `extra.hints[]` when an argument was corrected. To act on a suggestion, merge its `query_helper.request_patch` into your next call — the patch keys are protocol field paths, so they merge straight into this same request object — echo its `query_helper.origin` back in `intent.origin[]`, and pass the previous `data.request_id` as `context.session.previous_request_id` so already-shown offers are not repeated. Results are relevance-gated: an empty `offers` list is a real answer, not an error.
Turn a free-text product or service description into AON Taxonomy v1 category ids you can safely pass to aon_search_offers. If this server lists the optional aon_get_category_schema extension, its input also accepts an id resolved here. Call this first whenever you would otherwise be guessing at a category id — the taxonomy is fixed, and invented ids come back as corrections instead of results. Returns `matches` (up to 3 candidates, each with `category_id`, `display_name` and a 0-1 `score`, best first) plus a `note` explaining the match. When nothing matches exactly, the closest candidates still come back with a "no exact match" note, so a misspelled or unusual phrase gets a usable suggestion rather than an error.
Hosted AON MCP category-guidance extension. This server returns it from tools/list, but Protocol v1.0 does not require it. Get the decision factors buyers weigh inside one AON Taxonomy v1 category, so you can ask the right clarifying question before searching. Call it when intent is vague ("I need a card", "looking for software") — each factor comes with the concrete options to choose between. Pass 'all' to see which categories currently ship a decision schema. Categories without a schema return a plain note, not an error; searching still works without one.
Submit an explicit user feedback action for an AON Offer. Call only after the user clearly dismisses it or says they are not interested; never infer this from silence or other behavior. This initial scaffold acknowledges the request with success but does not persist feedback or change delivery yet; the internal workflow will be added later.
Restore or cancel the default watch for an AON Offer or category. Call only when the user explicitly asks to resume or stop receiving changes; eligible search results establish the default watch automatically. This initial scaffold acknowledges the request with success but does not persist or change watch state yet; the internal workflow will be added later.
概要
Give any MCP-capable agent the ability to recommend real, buyable products and services — live pricing and a trackable link on every offer, drawn from the Agent Offer Network.
- Endpoint:
POST https://api.aon.pro/v1/mcp - Transport: Streamable HTTP (stateless JSON-RPC 2.0 — no SSE, no session handshake)
- Auth:
Authorization: Bearer <AON API key>— use an issued live key from the Developer Portal - Quick Start: run the curl or client examples with your issued key; credentials are never embedded in these public assets
- Docs: docs.aon.pro/mcp
Tools
The Hosted AON endpoint currently lists five tools. Protocol v1.0 names the
four base tools below; aon_get_category_schema is an optional Hosted
category-guidance extension, not a portable Protocol v1.0 guarantee. Discover
it through tools/list before calling it.
aon_search_offers— Search offers by natural-language intent; every result carries live pricing, a tracking link, and pre-validated follow-up suggestions.aon_resolve_category— Turn free text into AON Taxonomy v1 category ids.aon_get_category_schema— Optional Hosted extension: decision factors for a resolved category id, to ask the right clarifying question before searching.aon_submit_feedback— Record an explicit "dismissed" / "not interested" on an offer (early scaffold: acknowledged, not persisted yet).aon_manage_watch— Restore or cancel the default watch on an offer or category on explicit request (early scaffold: acknowledged, not persisted yet).
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
aon_search_offers | Search offers by natural-language intent. Arguments are an AgentOffer Query request object — the same shape as the REST API. Returns offers with pricing, a tracking link each, and an engagement block of pre-validated follow-up suggestions the agent can act on. |
aon_resolve_category | Turn free text ("hiking boots", "team chat software") into AON Taxonomy v1 category ids — the model never has to memorize or invent them. |
aon_get_category_schema | Optional Hosted extension: return decision factors for an already resolved category id, to ask the right clarifying question before searching. Its standalone result does not add decision_factors to the Query request or response. |
aon_submit_feedback | Record an explicit "dismissed" / "not interested" from the user on an offer — never inferred from silence. Early scaffold: the call is acknowledged with success, but feedback is not persisted yet; the workflow behind it is rolling out. |
aon_manage_watch | Restore (watch) or cancel (unwatch) the default watch on an offer or category when the user explicitly asks. Early scaffold: acknowledged with success, watch state not persisted yet. |
Design notes agents benefit from:
- Forgiving by design — invalid values never fail a search; they are
treated as "not sent" and corrected in
extra.hints[]. Only bad auth, invalid JSON, a missingintent.content, or an oversized body hard-fail. - Relevance-gated — an empty result list is a real answer, never filler.
- Guidance loop — follow-up suggestions carry an RFC 7386
request_patchthat merges straight into the next call, plus anoriginto echo back for adoption attribution.

Rate limits
/v1/mcp allows 60 tools/call requests per minute per key; handshake
calls (initialize, tools/list, notifications/*) are never counted. An
over-limit tools/call returns HTTP 200 with JSON-RPC error -32000 so the
model can read the retry advice. Details:
Rate Limits & FAQ.
Monetization & attribution
Every offer carries a tracked destination link (action.payload.url).
Surface it verbatim — clicks and conversions attribute to your API key's
application, which is the basis for developer revenue share. Reporting lives
in the Developer Portal.
