Troystack is a REST API and MCP server that provides live precious metals data (gold, silver, platinum, palladium), portfolio management, and AI/LLM integration for TroyStack app users and developers.

How to use Troystack?

Install dependencies with npm install, copy .env.example to .env, fill in Supabase credentials (SUPABASE_URL, SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY), then run npm run dev. For production, deploy to Railway by connecting a GitHub repo and setting the required environment variables. Run the SQL migration migrations/001_api_keys.sql in Supabase SQL editor to set up the database.

How do I authenticate for protected endpoints?

Use a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Tokens are managed via the Supabase database; run the API keys migration to set them up.

Data is stored in Supabase (server-side) and synced from the TroyStack iOS app’s local SQLite database.

Can I use Troystack with AI agents?

Yes. Troystack serves an /llms.txt file, an OpenAPI 3.0 spec, an AI plugin manifest, and an MCP server manifest to support integration with Claude, GPT, and other LLMs.

On which platform is Troystack deployed?

The API is designed to run on Railway, using environment variables for Supabase credentials and the port. A custom domain api.troystack.ai is available.
