Deploy a static website to PreviewShip preview environment and get a shareable preview URL. Works with HTML/CSS/JS websites, React/Vue/Angular build outputs (dist/build directories), single AI-generated .html files, Markdown documents, PDF documents, static site generator outputs, and more. Choose PUBLIC or Pro PASSWORD access before the deployment is published.

Check the status of a PreviewShip deployment. Use the deployment ID returned by deploy_preview.

Show PreviewShip deployment quota usage including daily and monthly limits.

List PreviewShip projects owned by the API key user, including fixed preview URLs, access mode, current status, and redeploy availability.

Get details for one PreviewShip project, including its fixed preview URL, latest deployment pointer, and access mode.

Delete a PreviewShip project and its fixed preview URL. This also removes hosted project artifacts and Showcase entries. Requires confirmProjectName to prevent accidental deletion.

Redeploy a project from its latest retained artifact without uploading files again. Useful for restoring an expired fixed preview link.

Show whether a PreviewShip project is public or password protected.

Set a project to PUBLIC or PASSWORD access. PUBLIC clears an existing project password and makes the fixed preview URL publicly accessible again.

List retained project deployments that may be used for rollback. Free and Pro accounts follow plan history limits; internal accounts can page through all history.

Queue a new deployment from a retained historical version. Requires confirmProjectName to prevent accidental changes; poll the returned deployment ID until ready.

Previewship Mcp is a Model Context Protocol server that lets AI coding agents deploy static frontend previews as a native tool call. It works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP-compatible client, providing instant shareable preview URLs without Git or CI/CD.

How to use Previewship Mcp?

Configure Previewship Mcp by adding a JSON entry to your MCP client settings (e.g., ~/.claude/settings.json for Claude Code, .cursor/mcp.json for Cursor, or ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json for Windsurf) with the command npx -y previewship-mcp and the environment variable PREVIEWSHIP_API_KEY. Then simply ask your AI agent to deploy a project, check deployment status, or show usage quota.

Any static frontend output works — React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, Next.js (export), Nuxt (generate), Astro, or vanilla HTML/CSS/JS, as long as the build output contains an `index.html`.

Yes, the Free plan costs $0, includes 1 project, 5 daily deploys, 15 MB max zip size, and 7-day preview expiry. No credit card is required.

What are the deployment limits?

Free plan: 5 deploys/day, 15 MB zip, 7-day expiry. Pro Monthly ($9/mo): 20 deploys/day, 50 MB zip, 30-day expiry. Pro Yearly ($84/yr): 35 deploys/day, 80 MB zip, 365-day expiry.
