What is MCP Server Go?

MCP Server Go is a lightweight implementation of the Model Control Protocol (MCP) that communicates over standard input/output streams using JSON-RPC 2.0. It is designed for Go developers who need to enable communication between AI models and their applications via the MCP protocol.

How to use MCP Server Go?

Build the server with go build -o mcp_server ./cmd and run it with ./mcp_server. Optionally set the MCP_SERVER_NAME and MCP_SERVER_VERSION environment variables to customize the server’s identity. The server listens on stdio and responds to JSON-RPC requests for initialization, resource listing/reading, and tool listing/calling.
