Overview

What is QuipAssist?

QuipAssist is equipment and maintenance management software for multi-location operators. Its remote MCP server gives an AI assistant access to the organization's asset, repair and maintenance records.

What you can do

  • Search assets and open an asset's details and service history
  • Review open work orders and maintenance that is due
  • Check parts availability and vendor performance
  • See maintenance cost summaries and sensor readings
  • Open interactive views of assets, work orders and the operations dashboard

Access and safety

  • Connect with OAuth. Normal role, scope, site and spending limits always apply.
  • Write tools (work orders, maintenance plans, notes, purchase requisitions) wait as drafts for human review unless the user has turned off approval for that action.
  • Vendor messages are prepared only, never sent.
  • Recommendations are advisory and never replace qualified-technician procedures. No equipment commands are exposed.

Connect

Add https://app.quipassist.com/api/mcp as a custom MCP connector in your AI client and sign in with your QuipAssist account.

Frequently asked questions

1

What is the QuipAssist remote MCP server?

The QuipAssist remote MCP server is a hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint at https://app.quipassist.com/api/mcp, so AI assistants can connect to it without installing or running anything locally.

2

How do I connect to the QuipAssist MCP server?

Add the endpoint https://app.quipassist.com/api/mcp to any MCP-compatible client such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code. The setup snippets on this page configure each client in one step.

Yes. QuipAssist uses OAuth: the first time you connect, your MCP client opens a browser window to sign in and authorize access, then reuses the credentials for future sessions.

Which transport does the QuipAssist MCP server use?

QuipAssist exposes a Streamable HTTP endpoint, the transport used by remote MCP servers and supported by all major MCP clients.
