Paperjoy MCP Server tools

Get the authenticated Paperjoy account status, including the available credit balance.

Create a postcard for the authenticated user. By default it is saved as a free draft that is not sent: preview it with preview-postcard-tool, change it with update-draft-tool, then let the user review and send it at review_url, or send it with submit-postcard-tool. Every field is optional for a draft. Set draft to false to send the postcard immediately: all fields except signature, signature_id, and mistake are then required, it costs one credit, and it needs the mcp:submit permission.

Change a draft postcard. Only the fields you send are changed; send null to clear a field. Free. Submitted postcards cannot be changed.

Render a postcard as the customer will receive it: a PNG of the handwritten card, a PNG of the addressed envelope once the address, recipient, and font are set, and a summary that says whether a draft is ready to send and what still needs fixing (missing fields, text that does not fit on the card, an address that does not fit on the envelope). Free; works for drafts and sent postcards.

Send a draft postcard to production. It costs one credit and cannot be undone. The draft must be complete (address, recipient, content, font_id) and fit on the card and envelope; otherwise it stays a draft and the errors explain what to fix. Requires the mcp:submit permission; without it, ask the user to review and send the draft at its review_url.

Permanently delete a draft postcard. Submitted postcards cannot be deleted.

List existing postcards for the authenticated user, newest first, including drafts (status draft). Filter by status to find drafts that still need to be sent.

Retrieve one postcard by ID for the authenticated user.

List active custom signatures available to the authenticated user, newest first. Use an ID from this list as signature_id when creating a postcard.

Frequently asked questions

1

What is the Paperjoy remote MCP server?

The Paperjoy remote MCP server is a hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint at https://paperjoy.co/mcp, so AI assistants can connect to it without installing or running anything locally.
