Overview

Your media library, available to AI assistants

Organize with AI (OwAI) connects your photo and video library to compatible MCP clients, including ChatGPT, Claude and Muse. Search and organize media through the same library engine used by the OwAI app.

What you can do

  • Find photos and matching video moments using visual meaning, people, dates, folders, collections and media types.
  • Inspect filenames, metadata, source locations and available devices.
  • Read images and access videos when the source and client support delivery.
  • Create and update collections and groups, set favorites, and manage people.
  • Inspect duplicate sets with similarity scores, then review proposed changes before applying them.
  • Preview file removal and check completed command results and supported recovery actions.

Supported libraries

OwAI supports local folders, Apple Photos on a Mac, and OneDrive. Synced library metadata can remain searchable while the owning computer is offline. Access to local or Apple Photos media requires the owning device to be online, OwAI running, and Remote media access enabled. OneDrive content can be fetched directly through the cloud integration. The synced index is not a backup of your originals.

Connect

Add this Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint to your assistant:

https://index.organizewith.ai/mcp

Use OAuth to sign in to the OwAI account that owns the library and approve the requested permissions. Clients that support developer keys can alternatively use Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_OWAI_KEY>. Keep credentials private.

Example requests

  • “Find beach photos from last summer in Camera Roll.”
  • “Find the moment someone blows out birthday candles in my videos.”
  • “Show the most similar duplicate sets in this folder, including filenames.”
  • “Create a collection from these selected photos.”

Requirements and limits

MCP access requires an OwAI account with paid Cloud Access, offered as a one-time purchase. Hosted inference uses prepaid credits. Local desktop library features are available free; this does not make hosted MCP access free. See pricing.

Text-in-image search uses semantic visual matching, not guaranteed exact OCR transcription. Similarity scores are review aids, not proof that files should be deleted. Storage providers have their own deletion and recovery policies. A queued operation is not complete until its result confirms completion.
