OpenAdLibrary MCP Server is the official hosted MCP endpoint for OpenAdLibrary, an ad-intelligence library of Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and native ads. It lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients search live ad data inside a conversation.
OpenAdLibrary collects ads from Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Audience Network, Threads), TikTok, Google Ads and native networks such as Taboola, Outbrain/Teads, MGID, RevContent, MediaGo and Yahoo into one searchable catalogue. For native ads it also follows each click through every redirect hop to the advertiser's real landing page and keeps that evidence. The same catalogue is available over a public REST API (/api/v1) and over the hosted MCP server at https://mcp.openadlibrary.com/mcp. OpenAdLibrary describes the MCP server as having "20+ tools". Our live check could not list them, because the endpoint requires sign-in.
The endpoint is Streamable HTTP and returns 401 until you authenticate. It publishes OAuth discovery and dynamic client registration, so clients that support OAuth open a browser window where you sign in with your OpenAdLibrary account and approve access. According to OpenAdLibrary's docs, that connection creates its own API key. Clients without OAuth can send a personal API key, created under Settings, as Authorization: Bearer <key>.
Ad data and research over the API and MCP are part of the paid Founders plan. A key that belongs to a free account gets 402 Payment Required for those requests.
claude mcp add --transport http openadlibrary https://mcp.openadlibrary.com/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and sign in. To use an API key instead of OAuth:
claude mcp add --transport http openadlibrary https://mcp.openadlibrary.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_OPENADLIBRARY_API_KEY"
Open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.openadlibrary.com/mcp. Choose Connect, sign in to OpenAdLibrary in the browser, and approve access. ChatGPT works the same way as a connector.

No. You can create a free account with no card, but API and MCP access to ad data is part of the Founders plan. The pricing page lists that plan at $29.99 a month at the time of writing, and later sign-ups are expected to pay more.
Not with OAuth clients such as Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code, where you sign in in the browser and a key is created for the connection. Other clients can send a personal API key from Settings as a bearer token.

It's a remote, hosted server. There's no package to install.
OpenAdLibrary says the hosted MCP server has more than 20 tools. The exact tool list is only visible after you sign in, so this page doesn't list tool names.
The OpenAdLibrary remote MCP server is a hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint at https://mcp.openadlibrary.com/mcp, so AI assistants can connect to it without installing or running anything locally.
Add the endpoint https://mcp.openadlibrary.com/mcp to any MCP-compatible client such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code. The setup snippets on this page configure each client in one step.
Authentication requirements for OpenAdLibrary have not been confirmed in this listing. Check the provider’s documentation before connecting.
OpenAdLibrary exposes a Streamable HTTP endpoint, the transport used by remote MCP servers and supported by all major MCP clients.
