What is MCP Echo Server?

A simple Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that echoes input back as-is. It is intended for testing, debugging, or demonstration of MCP tool calls.

How to use MCP Echo Server?

Install with pip install -e . or uv pip install -e ., then run directly with python src/echo_server.py. For Claude Desktop, add the server to the mcpServers configuration with the command python and the path to echo_server.py.
