HostTracker is a website and infrastructure monitoring service that has run external checks since 2004 for more than 500,000 websites. Its official MCP server lets an AI assistant operate a HostTracker account directly in conversation. Run an instant check on any URL from 300+ global checkpoints (HTTP/S, ping, TCP port, DNS, traceroute, WHOIS, blacklist/DNSBL, Web Risk, page speed and crawl), then act on the result: create and edit monitors, pause and resume them, review uptime summaries and incidents, schedule maintenance windows, manage contacts and who gets notified, wire up webhooks, and publish updates to a public status page. 65 tools cover the full HostTracker API v2, plus a guarded generic door (describe_api / api_request) for anything without a dedicated tool. Authentication is a per-user API token sent as "Authorization: Bearer <token>", minted at host-tracker.com/integrations/api with per-family scopes (check, monitor, contact, subs, webhook, statuspage, account), so the assistant gets exactly the access you intend. The server is stateless: every call is forwarded to the API under the caller's own token, where quota, ownership and rate limits are enforced. Safety is built in: writes to the account itself are refused regardless of token scopes; payments, plan changes, passwords and token minting are not on the API surface at all; destructive bulk operations validate first and require an explicit confirming call; and anything a checked target controls (error strings, WHOIS records, DNS TXT, response excerpts) is fenced as untrusted content before it reaches the model.

Add the endpoint https://mcp.host-tracker.com/mcp to any MCP-compatible client such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code. The setup snippets on this page configure each client in one step.
Yes. HostTracker requires an API key — check the official documentation for how to obtain one, then include it in your client's configuration.
HostTracker exposes a Streamable HTTP endpoint, the transport used by remote MCP servers and supported by all major MCP clients.
