This server lets you run a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server on Cloudflare Workers with OAuth login, enabling tools to be called over HTTP SSE from clients like the MCP Inspector or Claude Desktop.
Clone the repo, install dependencies via npm, then run locally with npx nx dev remote-mcp-server. For deployment, use npx wrangler kv namespace create OAUTH_KV, add the KV namespace ID to wrangler.jsonc, then run npm run deploy.
It uses SSE (Server-Sent Events) over HTTP.
Configure Claude Desktop’s config file with the `mcp-remote` command and the server’s SSE endpoint (e.g., `http://localhost:8787/sse` locally, or `https://worker-name.account-name.workers.dev/sse` after deployment).
The server implements OAuth login. For local development, a mock login screen accepts any email and password. After deployment, the OAuth flow uses Cloudflare Workers authentication.
Node.js, npm, and for deployment: `wrangler` CLI and a Cloudflare KV namespace.
Restart Claude, try connecting via `npx mcp-remote http://localhost:8787/sse` on the command line, or clear credentials stored in `~/.mcp-auth` by running `rm -rf ~/.mcp-auth`.
