Is this MCP server read-only?
Yes, this project builds a local, read-only MCP server. For full CRUD capabilities, check out the CData MCP Server for Cosmos DB.

Basic information
This read-only MCP Server allows you to connect to Cosmos DB data from Claude Desktop through CData JDBC Drivers. For full CRUD support, check out the first managed MCP platform: CData Connect AI (https://www.cdata.com/ai/).
Add this server to your MCP-compatible client using the configuration below.

}Tool list not available yet
This listing does not currently have a tool list to display. This does not mean the server has no tools; check its documentation for supported capabilities.
We auto-extract tools from the README. The maintainer can list them under a ## Tools heading to populate this section.
CData's Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server for Cosmos DB allows LLMs like Claude Desktop to query live Cosmos DB data using natural language. It wraps the CData JDBC Driver for Cosmos DB, exposing Cosmos DB as relational SQL models through a local, read-only MCP interface.
Clone the repository, build the JAR with mvn clean install, download and license the CData JDBC Driver for Cosmos DB, configure a .prp connection file, then add the server to your client’s MCP config (e.g., claude_desktop_config.json). The server runs locally via stdio.

You need Java, Maven, and the CData JDBC Driver for Cosmos DB installed and licensed.
The server uses a local JDBC connection, so data never leaves your machine. It communicates with the client via `stdio`.
The server uses `stdio`, so it can only be used with clients running on the same machine.
Authentication is handled by the CData JDBC Driver via its connection string utility (e.g., OAuth flows). You configure the connection string in the `.prp` file.

Local database MCP server: your agent sees a migration's impact before it runs, for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and SQLite, with no database credentials.
A Model Context Protocol server that provides read-only access to MySQL databases. This server enables LLMs to inspect database schemas and execute read-only queries.

Connect Karma.Domains to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, or another MCP client — and find a domain in plain language. The same auctions, expired, backorder, and buy-now data you use in the app, plus saved filters, note
A Model Context Protocol server to connect to MongoDB databases and MongoDB Atlas Clusters.
