What is UCloud MCP Server?

UCloud MCP Server is a cloud instance management server built on MCP-Go and the UCloud SDK. It enables UCloud instance management through the MCP (Model Context Protocol) protocol, allowing users to query instance information, list instances, get status, and monitor performance metrics. How to use UCloud MCP Server?

Clone the repository, install dependencies with go mod download, build with go build -o ucloud-mcp-server, then run the binary. The server supports two methods: a configuration file (`config.json`) with `region`, `project_id`, `public_key`, and `private_key`; or environment variables `UCLOUD_REGION`, `UCLOUD_PROJECT_ID`, `UCLOUD_PUBLIC_KEY`, `UCLOUD_PRIVATE_KEY`. File takes priority over environment variables.

What credentials are required?

You need a UCloud account with API credentials: a public key and a private key, along with your project ID and desired region. Keep these credentials secure.

How do I run the server with a custom port?

Use the `--port` flag when starting the server, e.g., `./ucloud-mcp-server --port 9000`.

What monitoring metrics are available?

The server provides CPUUtilization (%), disk metrics (IORead, IOWrite, DiskReadOps, DiskWriteOps), and network metrics (NICIn, NICOut, NetPacketIn, NetPacketOut).

Yes, monitoring data may have a few minutes delay.
