Receiptsapi Mcp gives your AI assistant three tools: parse_receipt to extract structured data from a receipt or invoice, extract_document to pull data from any document with optional field specification, and check_usage to monitor monthly quota. It is designed for use inside Claude Desktop and any MCP‑compatible AI client.

How to use Receiptsapi Mcp?

Install mcp and httpx via pip, download the server script, then add a configuration entry in Claude Desktop’s JSON file with your API key set in the MCP_API_KEY environment variable. Once installed, you can ask Claude naturally to parse receipts or extract document fields. It also works with OpenAI and Anthropic via the tool schema endpoint at https://api.receiptsapi.com/v1/tools/openai or /tools/anthropic.
