What is ReactLive?

ReactLive turns a session — a town hall, a conference talk, a webinar, a class, a watch-along — into a two-way conversation. The audience asks questions, votes, answers polls and reacts from their phones; you run it from a console; the room sees what you put on the big screen.

This MCP server connects an AI assistant to your ReactLive workspace. The assistant does exactly what you could do in the console, as you, and nothing more.

Remote server — nothing to install, no key to copy.

Claude.ai / Claude Desktop — Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL, press Connect, choose your workspace, Authorize.

Claude Code

Cursor — add to .cursor/mcp.json, then authorise from Settings → MCP.

Any other client — supply the URL as a remote streamable HTTP server. ReactLive supports the standard discovery chain (OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, dynamic client registration, refresh tokens), so no client ID or secret is needed.

The assistant starts by listing your events so it's working on the right one, and asks when a request is ambiguous.

Permissions and safety

• Same rules as the console. Every call is checked against your role in the workspace you authorised. A connection cannot reach other workspaces, even ones you belong to, without separate authorisation.
• Everything is on the record. Each tool call is written to the workspace audit log, attributed to your account and naming the tool.
• Destructive actions ask twice. Deleting an event, post or category requires an explicit confirmation flag; there is no phrasing that skips it.
• Rate limit. 60 requests per minute per connection, with 429 and a retry-after header beyond that.

MCP and ReactLive's in-event agents

Two different things that both involve AI. ReactLive's agents — Engage (runs the room), Answer (drafts cited replies from your materials), Protect (watches for abuse and spam) and Report (produces insights and the write-up) — work inside the event on the room's behalf, at an autonomy level you set per agent: Off, Assist or Auto.

An MCP connection is you, operating your workspace from your own assistant, with your own permissions. Nothing done over MCP changes an agent's level, and an agent never uses your connection.
