What is PaperOffice AI

PaperOffice is a document AI and document management platform with an MCP server on top. Your agent connects to one URL and can search, read, upload, extract, generate and sign business documents — the same operations a person would do in the app, without the app.

What the tools do

Find and read — full-text and semantic search across workspaces, read existing OCR text without a new job, list folders and tags
Upload and create — presigned upload slots, PDF generation from Markdown/HTML, new versions of existing documents
Extract — AI-OCR (text, line boxes, tables) and structured IDP for invoices and 60+ document types with field paths such as _supplier_name and _total_amount
Sign and audit — e-signature requests, delivery status, WORM retention, audit trail
Discover — po_mcp_tools_search → po_mcp_tools_schema → po_mcp_tools_call_read / call_write reach all 300+ API/MCP tools; every tool description starts with READ-ONLY., WRITES DATA. or DESTRUCTIVE.

Auth and hosting

OAuth 2.1 sign-in (Client ID Metadata Documents) or Authorization: Bearer po_ut_… user / po_gt_… group token. System and publishable keys are rejected. Hosted in EU Tier III data centres on own hardware, no third-party AI subprocessors. Bring your own storage (BYOS) available.
