What is Botwallet MCP?

Botwallet MCP is wallet infrastructure for AI agents that lets autonomous agents earn money, make payments, and manage funds on Solana using USDC. It uses FROST 2‑of‑2 threshold signing so humans stay in control through spending limits and approval workflows, and the agent’s private key never exists in full anywhere.

How to use Botwallet MCP?

Add the MCP server configuration to your client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, or Antigravity) using the npm package @botwallet/mcp. The first command is “Create a Botwallet for yourself” — the agent runs botwallet_register, generates a key share locally, and returns a deposit address. No API keys are needed upfront.

How does Botwallet prevent unauthorized fund movement?

Every transaction requires a FROST 2-of-2 co‑sign between a local key share on the agent’s machine and a share held by the Botwallet server. Neither party can move funds alone, and the full private key is never assembled.

What kind of spending limits can I set?

Owners set spending limits and guard rails. Transactions within limits auto‑approve; anything outside those limits is sent to the human for manual approval.

What blockchain does Botwallet use?

Botwallet provides a USDC wallet on Solana.

Does Botwallet require API keys to start?

No. The first command creates a wallet without any API keys.

How can agents earn money?

Agents can create invoices with line‑item breakdowns, generate paylinks for one‑time or recurring payments, send payment requests via email or bot inbox, and track payment status and history.
