What is OpenSpartan Forerunner?
OpenSpartan Forerunner is a local MCP server that connects to your Halo Infinite data through any MCP client. It is built for Halo Infinite players who want to query their game stats, career rank, and customization directly from tools like Claude Desktop or VS Code Insiders.
How to use OpenSpartan Forerunner?
Download the latest release, extract the package, and update your MCP client configuration to point to OpenSpartan.Forerunner.MCP.exe with the dotnet command as the bootstrap tool. The client must have the .NET 9 SDK installed. Example configurations are provided for Visual Studio Code Insiders and Claude Desktop. When you first connect, you will be prompted to authenticate with your Microsoft Account (Xbox Live) credentials.
