A strongly-typed TypeScript Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides seamless access to any GraphQL API through Claude AI.

How to use GraphQL MCP Server?

Install via npm (npm install -g graphql-mcp and run graphql-mcp-server) or clone the repository, install dependencies, build with TypeScript, and run. Integrate with Claude Desktop by adding the server to the MCP configuration file with environment variables such as GRAPHQL_API_ENDPOINT, GRAPHQL_API_KEY, ENABLE_MUTATIONS, WHITELISTED_QUERIES, and WHITELISTED_MUTATIONS.

How do I control which operations are exposed to Claude?

You can whitelist queries and mutations using the `WHITELISTED_QUERIES` and `WHITELISTED_MUTATIONS` environment variables, and enable/disable all mutations via `ENABLE_MUTATIONS`.

Authentication is optional; you can provide an API key via the `GRAPHQL_API_KEY` environment variable.
