Clone the project from Gitee, install dependencies via pip install -r requirements.txt, configure the .env file with vCenter Server connection details (VCENTER_HOST, VCENTER_USER, VCENTER_PASSWORD), then run the server using mcp-proxy in SSE mode. Finally, add the server URL (e.g., http://localhost:8080/sse) to your MCP client configuration.

The server communicates using SSE (Server-Sent Events) via `mcp-proxy`, listening on a configurable host and port (default `0.0.0.0:8080`).

Does the server store any data locally?

No – the server only acts as a bridge; all data resides on the connected vCenter Server instance.

Can I power off/on DELL servers through this tool?

Yes, the server includes tools to shut down and start up DELL servers using their iDRAC BMC IP address (separate from vCenter management).
