The Shopify MCP Server by CData is a read-only Model Context Protocol server that allows LLMs like Claude Desktop to query live Shopify data using natural language. It wraps the CData JDBC Driver for Shopify, which exposes Shopify data as relational SQL models.

Clone the repository, build the JAR with Maven (mvn clean install), install and license the CData JDBC Driver for Shopify, configure a .prp file with your JDBC connection string, then add the server to your client’s mcpServers config (e.g., claude_desktop_config.json).
