Pota Mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides access to Parks on the Air (POTA) data, including live activator spots, park information, activator and hunter statistics, and scheduled activations. It is part of the qso-graph project and requires no authentication as all POTA endpoints are public.
Install with pip install pota-mcp, then configure it in any MCP-compatible client by adding a server entry with command pota-mcp. After restart, tools such as pota_spots, pota_park_info, and others appear automatically. No credentials are needed.

Set the environment variable `POTA_MCP_MOCK=1` before running `pota-mcp` to enable mock mode that simulates responses without hitting the live POTA API.
Start the server with `pota-mcp --transport streamable-http --port 8006`, then open the MCP Inspector at `http://localhost:8006`.
