What is MCP Server?

MCP Server is an implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that integrates with the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for decentralized data storage and sharing, and leverages Claude AI to process and enhance interactions. It is intended for users who need to manage files in a distributed, fault-tolerant manner via MCP-compatible clients such as Claude Code or Claude Desktop.

How to use MCP Server?

Install Node.js (version 18+) and npm or yarn. For Claude Code, run claude mcp add and provide the server command and arguments. For Claude Desktop, add a JSON configuration block to claude_desktop_config.json. After setup, start Claude Code or Claude Desktop and use natural language prompts to perform file operations on IPFS.
