What is e Stat MCP Server?

It is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides access to the e-Stat API, the Japanese government statistics portal. It enables language models to search, retrieve metadata, and fetch statistical data from official Japanese statistics.

How to use e Stat MCP Server?

Obtain an e-Stat API application ID from the e-Stat API site. Then configure the server in your MCP client (e.g., Claude Desktop) using either a local uv command with a path to the server files, or the uvx command for the published package. Set the E_STAT_APP_ID environment variable to your API ID.
