About Tixel MCP Server

Tixel MCP Server is the official MCP server for Tixel, the fan-to-fan ticket resale marketplace. AI assistants can search events, show resale listings with prices, sections and seat details, and hand off to tixel.com to buy. It also helps ticket holders list tickets for sale, including by forwarding a confirmation email.

Tixel MCP Server tools

7

Find concerts, festivals, sports games, and shows available on the Tixel marketplace. Use for both specific queries ("Olivia Dean London", "Coldplay 2026") and broader exploration ("pop concerts in London this month"). Returns upcoming events; pass an event's tixelSlug to list_event_listings to fetch tickets. To restrict results to a specific city, pass the optional city_id parameter — call list_supported_cities to get the list of supported cities and their city_id values.

Return the list of cities supported on the Tixel marketplace, each with a numeric city_id. Use this information to filter the events returned by other tools by the city where the event is held — pass a city_id from this list as the city_id parameter of search_events. Optionally narrow the list with query (case-insensitive match on the city name) and/or country_code (ISO country code).

Show available ticket listings for a specific event on Tixel — prices (incl. buyer fee), seat sections, quantity per listing, and the deep link to complete the purchase on tixel.com. Each listing represents a contiguous batch of seats sold together by one seller. Call search_events first to get the tixel_slug.

Fetch full per-seat info, seller details, restrictions, and the event seat-map image for one Tixel listing. Use after list_event_listings when the user wants to dig into a specific option.

Help a user who already owns tickets list (sell/resell) them on Tixel. Returns the best way to list for the ticketing company the tickets were bought from (e.g. Ticketmaster, Ticketek, DICE, Eventbrite) and a direct tixel.com link to that listing page, plus generic fallbacks (forwarding the confirmation email, uploading a PDF). If the user hasn't said where they bought their tickets, call without ticketing_company to get the full list of supported companies, then ask them. Prefer the recommended option; offer fallbacks if the user can't use it (e.g. no account access). Do not use for buying tickets — use search_events instead.

Begin listing (selling) a user's tickets on Tixel straight from their inbox. Returns a one-off Tixel scanner address (scanAlias). The host should then use its email connector to forward the user's original ticket confirmation email — including any PDF or ticket attachments — to that address, sent from the email account the tickets were bought with so Tixel can verify ownership. After forwarding, call check_listing_status with the returned sessionToken to track parsing and get the link to finish the listing. Use this when the user has a confirmation email or e-tickets and wants to sell them; use get_selling_options instead if they ask how selling works or bought from a ticketing company with a direct Tixel integration (e.g. Ticketmaster, Eventbrite).

Poll an email-listing session started with start_email_listing. Long-polls (up to ~25s) while Tixel scans the forwarded email, then returns the parse status, any detected tickets, and a continueUrl — the link the user opens to finish the listing on tixel.com. If isPending is true the email hasn't been read yet; wait a moment and call again with the same sessionToken. A status of "parsed", "ai_accepted", "links_sent" or "listed" means the tickets were recognised and continueUrl is ready; "parsing_error" or "ignored" means it couldn't be used.

Overview

What is Tixel MCP Server?

Tixel MCP Server is the official Tixel MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants search concerts, festivals and sports events on Tixel, browse fan-to-fan resale listings, and help you list tickets you want to sell.

Tixel is a ticket resale marketplace where fans buy and sell tickets to live events, with price caps and a buyer guarantee. It operates in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, among other places. The MCP server powers both the Tixel app in ChatGPT and the Tixel connector for Claude. You can find an event, compare listings and check prices in conversation. Purchases still happen on tixel.com: the assistant hands you a link to complete checkout with Tixel's buyer protections.

How to use Tixel MCP Server?

No Tixel account or API key is needed to connect. The server URL is:

https://mcp-v1.tixel.com/mcp

It uses the Streamable HTTP transport. You only need a Tixel account when you buy or finish listing tickets on tixel.com.

Claude Desktop and claude.ai

Tixel's instructions: in Claude, open Settings > Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste https://mcp-v1.tixel.com/mcp. Follow the prompts to enable the connector, then start a new chat and ask Claude to find an event or browse listings. Tixel says the connector works on any Claude plan. You can disable or remove it from the same screen.

ChatGPT

The Tixel app is available in ChatGPT on any plan. Mention Tixel in a message ("Find me tickets to a gig in Melbourne this weekend on Tixel"), or open the apps menu, search for Tixel and add it.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http tixel https://mcp-v1.tixel.com/mcp

Cursor

Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "tixel": {
      "url": "https://mcp-v1.tixel.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code

Add to .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "tixel": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp-v1.tixel.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

The Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code entries use each client's standard remote-server format. Tixel documents only ChatGPT and Claude.

Key features of Tixel MCP Server

  • Official Tixel server, the same one behind the ChatGPT app and the Claude connector.
  • Event search for concerts, festivals, sports, comedy and theatre, by artist, venue, date or city.
  • Resale listings with prices including the buyer fee, seat sections, quantities and a deep link to buy on tixel.com.
  • Listing details: per-seat information, seller details, restrictions and the event's seat-map image.
  • Selling help: the best way to list tickets bought from a given ticketing company (for example Ticketmaster, Ticketek, DICE or Eventbrite), with a direct tixel.com link.
  • Email-based listing: forward your ticket confirmation to a one-off Tixel scanner address and track parsing until the listing is ready to finish.
  • Privacy: Tixel says only the prompts you send while Tixel is active reach its server, and purchases keep the usual tixel.com protections.

Tixel MCP Server tools

The server exposes seven tools.

  • Buying: search_events finds upcoming events and returns a slug for each. list_supported_cities returns city IDs used to filter searches by city. list_event_listings shows the available listings for an event. get_listing_details returns the full detail for one listing, including the seat map.
  • Selling: get_selling_options recommends how to list based on where the tickets were bought, falling back to email forwarding or PDF upload. start_email_listing returns a one-off scanner address and a session token. check_listing_status long-polls (about 25 seconds per call) while Tixel scans the forwarded email, then returns detected tickets and a continueUrl to finish the listing.

Use cases of Tixel MCP Server

  • Find a show: "Any pop concerts in London this month on Tixel?"
  • Check prices: "Show me the cheapest two tickets together for Coldplay in Sydney."
  • Compare seats: "Open the details for the second listing. What section is it, and are there any restrictions?"
  • Sell spare tickets: "I can't go to the DICE gig on Friday. How do I list my tickets on Tixel?"
  • List from your inbox: "Forward my ticket confirmation to Tixel and tell me when the listing is ready."

Troubleshooting Tixel MCP Server

  • City filter returns nothing: call list_supported_cities first and pass the exact city_id. Several cities share a name, such as London, UK and London, Canada.
  • No listings for an event: there may be no fans selling right now. Tixel's site lets you join an event's waitlist.
  • Email listing still pending: keep calling check_listing_status with the same session token. A parsing_error or ignored status means the email couldn't be used, so try the recommended selling option instead.
  • The assistant can't complete the purchase: that's expected. Open the tixel.com link it gives you to check out.
