What is Typebar?

Typebar (formerly SuperDocs) is AI document editing for people and their AI agents: think Claude Code or Cursor, but for documents. It finds the exact section that needs to change, edits only that, and leaves the rest of the document untouched, formatting included. Use the hosted MCP server from Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Claude Desktop or any MCP client, call the REST API from your own product, or work in the web app. What you can do: make precise edits on large documents, with tables, fonts and styles kept; draft a new document from an outline or a short brief; work across several documents in one session; review each proposed change, approve or reject it, and revert any turn; search and summarise a whole document or one section; upload .docx, PDF, HTML, Markdown, RTF and text files, and export to .docx, PDF, HTML, Markdown or text; let an agent sign itself up for a free account and API key. 38 MCP tools and 4 prompts.
