Basic information
Storyflow MCP Server is the official hosted MCP endpoint for Storyflow, the AI visual workspace for creative teams. After an OAuth sign-in, an assistant can read your boards, notes and documents, see what changed, and build notes, tables, charts, diagrams, mind maps and slide decks in the projects you allow.

Storyflow MCP Server is the official hosted MCP endpoint for Storyflow, letting Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and other MCP clients read your Storyflow projects and build boards, plans, mind maps and slide decks inside them.
Storyflow is an AI visual workspace for creative teams: kanbans, mind maps, storyboards, notes and documents on one canvas. Through the Storyflow MCP, the assistant you already use can read what is in your projects (boards, notes, documents and files, plus what changed on a board and who changed it) and create new content where it belongs: notes, groups, tables, charts, diagrams, documents and slide decks. Because the assistant uses its own model, Storyflow says this does not spend your Storyflow AI credits.
You need a Storyflow account. Storyflow is in paid early access; people invited by a paid member join free today, and Storyflow says a free plan is coming before the end of 2026.
The server URL is:
https://mcp.storyflow.so/mcp
The server uses Streamable HTTP and a browser sign-in. When you connect, you sign in to Storyflow, pick the projects the assistant may use, and choose whether it may make changes. Allow changes if you want it to build things; without that permission it can only read.
claude mcp add --transport http storyflow https://mcp.storyflow.so/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and authenticate; the Storyflow sign-in opens in your browser.
Storyflow's steps: in Claude, open Customize > Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector. Name it Storyflow, paste https://mcp.storyflow.so/mcp and click Continue. Choose Sign in now, click Add, and complete the sign-in. Claude's Free plan allows one custom connector, so you can try it without a paid Claude plan.
Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or a project's .cursor/mcp.json) and sign in when Cursor prompts you:
{
"mcpServers": {
"storyflow": {
"url": "https://mcp.storyflow.so/mcp"
}
}
}
Add it to .vscode/mcp.json; VS Code (with GitHub Copilot) starts the sign-in on first use:
{
"servers": {
"storyflow": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.storyflow.so/mcp"
}
}
}
In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings > Security and login and turn on Developer mode. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, click the plus button, name it Storyflow, choose Public endpoint, paste the URL and create it, then sign in to Storyflow. On Business and Enterprise plans an admin turns on developer mode.

Yes. The assistant works with your own Storyflow projects, so you sign in with your Storyflow account when you connect.
Storyflow is currently in paid early access. A free account (today, one invited by a paid member) gets 25 assistant actions a week; Plus, Pro and Max have no limit. A free plan is announced for before the end of 2026.
Only if you let it. At sign-in you pick the projects, whether it may make changes, and whether it may use documents outside projects.
Any assistant that can add a remote MCP server, including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and Codex.
Open Settings in Storyflow, then Connected apps, and remove it. It loses access within a minute.
The Storyflow remote MCP server is a hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint at https://mcp.storyflow.so/mcp, so AI assistants can connect to it without installing or running anything locally.
Add the endpoint https://mcp.storyflow.so/mcp to any MCP-compatible client such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code. The setup snippets on this page configure each client in one step.
Yes. Storyflow uses OAuth: the first time you connect, your MCP client opens a browser window to sign in and authorize access, then reuses the credentials for future sessions.
Storyflow exposes a streamable-http endpoint, the transport used by remote MCP servers and supported by all major MCP clients.
