This is a template for deploying a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server on Cloudflare Workers that requires no authentication. It is intended for developers who want to expose MCP tools over SSE without user login.
Deploy with one click using the "Deploy to Workers" button, or via the command npm create cloudflare@latest -- my-mcp-server --template=cloudflare/ai/demos/remote-mcp-authless. After deployment, customize tools in src/index.ts using this.server.tool(...). Connect remote clients by pointing them to the generated SSE endpoint.

Use the “Deploy to Workers” button on the README or run `npm create cloudflare@latest -- my-mcp-server --template=cloudflare/ai/demos/remote-mcp-authless`. After deployment, your server is live at a URL like `remote-mcp-server-authless.<your-account>.workers.dev/sse`.
Go to https://playground.ai.cloudflare.com/, enter your deployed SSE URL, and start using the tools directly.
Install the `mcp-remote` proxy via npm, then add an entry to Claude Desktop’s MCP config pointing to your SSE endpoint (e.g., `http://localhost:8787/sse` or the remote URL).
You need a Cloudflare Workers account and Node.js/npm to run the local creation command. No database or external service is required.
